Just want to say what a joy to it was to hear Maurice Dickson in the Crown Hotel on Friday. I had not heard of him previously and he was just brilliant. Almost certainly the best guitar player I have ever seen or heard perhaps as good or even better than the late Rory Gallagher.

Hi Paul.
No, I haven't vanished, just incredibly busy just now. Just HAD to put this on here as I have just heard your beautiful version of "Miss Otis Regrets". It just highlights your progression as a guitar player, and artist. Well done buddy, I'm proud of you.
Chris.

Hi Paul, really nice to look through your web page, it bought back alot of memories from my time in Stone. I never, or nearly never missed one of your wonderful Monday nights. So now Im in Montreal and I do attend similar venues Downtown but I have to say, it just isnt the same. I do hope that my life path crosses one of your open mic nights at least once again in my life. If I have anything to do with it, and I do, then I will. Thank you. Take Care. Michael.

Happy New Year bud. Just sort of passing though and being fresh back from my skiing holiday thought I would drop by. Had a great time in France - I am nearly a star out there having taken guitar and AER Compact 60 with me. I am told I could spend the season there playing each night and skiing all day! Sounds too good to be true to me but that's what is on offer!. I was quite bowled over. I might, just might, be turning up one of these nights (Song Title?) in the not too distant future........ All the best Paul.

Hi Paul,

Just have to say what a great night Saturday with Maurice Dickson.
Fabulous atmosphere and music at it’s very best .A guitar to die for and played with such ease.( even if I did compare it to a Lowden to his horror)! Holly Reynolds I have tremendous respect as I know one day she has the potential to be mega big. I should have known the night would have been of such a high quality because that is what Paul Walker events are about, the following night at Swinerton also confirms that.
Thank You, Maurice, Holly and Paul.

A wondeful night out which never fails to entertain and produce such outstanding talent.

Hey Paul!
Sites looking cool as always! Great to see you still travelling rearing to go with guitar in hand anytime anyplace anywhere!

As for me?
To quote Ricky Gervais>
John Lennon wrote: "Life is what happens to you while your busy making other plans" ....then again, he also said "I am the eggman,i am the walrus googogajoob!" ...so i dont know what to believe!

Suffice to say, music is one thing that I CAN always rely on.

Hi Paul! Another great acoustic night last monday! - was checking out to see if you got the pictures uploaded yet. It's a nice web-site you've got here!

If you get chance it would be cool if i could drop you a link to mine - it's hosted by mp3unsigned.com which is a great resource for any musician:

www.mp3unsigned.com/Gaz.asp

All the artwork on there is done by my good friend Rob, the guy who has been sketching away at the gigs for the last two weeks!

I'm sure if you want any of his images for your site he would be happy to send them to you on disc or e-mail.

See you next week hopefully!

Hi, Paul,
Thanks again for booking us at Oulton last week. We had a lovely time, and I see from this guestbook that your audience seemed to do too. To all of you: the message is, 'Trust Paul!'
He's a man with a mission to bring great music that you probably wouldn't otherwise come across to people who know good stuff when they hear it. Support him, come again, and tell (and bring) your friends. Luck and success to you all.

What a great evening of entertainment at the Quicksilver concert!! I had never heard of Quicksilver but took you at your word that they were good - you are the Master of understatement!! They were terrific!!
We all enjoyed it in our group which included a schoolboy and a grandma, how's that for appealing across the generations!
Thank you for organising the gig. I hope you continue to bring great live music to the area.

17 April 2007

"Quicksilver" were a delightfully diverse and entertaining duo. Hilary is clearly a trained singer with a bubbly, theatrical style (and probably an ex-chemistry teacher, I guess: The name "quicksilver", the chemical symbol hg, the Periodic Table Song, bit of a clue maybe!!!) Gavin is a remarkable guitarist. Loved the Jake Thakeray, "The Kiss" and "The Widow of Bridlington" and the (Django) Reinhardt-style piece; Cafe d'hot Club Paris on a hot evening in Oulton ! This event was every bit the same high quality musical entertainment as the Diane Ponzio evening. Keep it up Paul and well done to Staffs County Council for being involved.

Hi Paul
What a superb evenings entertainment you provided yet again at Oulton village hall on Saturday. A very talented duo. Stunning vocals, comedy, fabulous guitar playing, wonderful hosts, excellent venue. excellent value and all so well organised. You'd have to go a long way to find such great value and entertainment. Congratulations and already looking forward to the next event in August.

16 April 2007

We reckon that Quicksilver on Saturday evening must have been the best ticket in the Midlands. It was just great to see Grant’s amazing guitar playing, and to hear Hilary’s incredible voice. And that guy named Walker was pretty darned good as well. Thanks Paul, and also thanks to the charming Jacky for putting that orderliness and elegance into a wonderful evening. There is a lot of work involved in this, and the two of you do it with such competence and joy. See you again soon. Chris & Tina
